How these numbers are computed

Sources: official TED (EU) open data and, for the UK, Find-a-Tender (Open Government Licence v3.0). Source data is often incomplete — every aggregate shows a coverage figure: the share of underlying records that actually carried the field. Values are as published, in EUR; UK values are converted from GBP at a fixed reference rate.

The competitiveness score (0–100) blends three signals per sector: average bidders per contest (45%, capped at 8), the share of single-bid awards (30%, inverted), and the top-5 winners' share of awarded value (25%, inverted). Higher = more contested market. Scores over low-coverage data should be read as indicative.
